Timely Repair
In endoscopy, a minor repair, such as a simple angulation adjustment or channel blockage, will be turned around within 24 hours so that you can get right back to managing your caseload. Major repairs are completed and returned within 6 business days.
Loaner Equipment
A repair request for an endoscope shouldn’t mean a disruption in service . Through our strong relationship with Fujinon, Inc., Vantage Endoscopy is able to provide loaner equipment to substitute while your device is repaired so that it’s business as usual – even when its not.

Vantage Endoscopy has developed a multi-day course to address the real life challenges for both nursing and reprocessing technicians when handling and caring for the instruments used to perform Gastroenterology. The increasing demands for procedures makes it essential that healthcare facilities continually evaluate efficiency, repair costs and the reprocessing competency of their staff.

The MERiT course has been developed exclusively to assist health care institutions develop a standards based reprocessing program and focuses explicitly on the proper care and handling of flexible endoscopy equipment from a practical approach. Instructor lead modules are delivered in both classroom and in hands-on sessions so that the end-users will gain a holistic understanding of the technology, as well as the practical aspects of infection control and patient care.
The course is divided into 5 comprehensive modules including:
Infection Prevention and Microbiology
With cross contamination of paramount importance within medical device reprocessing, this module delivers a fundamental review of the practical knowledge to increase the awareness surrounding Infection Control Principles, Standards & Guidelines, Microbiology, Modes of Transmission & Medical Device Classification.
Endoscopy Reprocessing Adapters and Accessories
The reprocessing considerations surrounding accessories within endoscopy is a poorly understood practice with compliance gaps, challenging even the most experienced endoscopy department. The goal of this module is to review best practice from a guideline perspective and incorporate a detailed review using illustration & hands-on practices the accessories & reprocessing adapters.
Service and Repair of Flexible Endoscopes
Service & repair considerations become paramount in order to safely maintain inventory and mitigate risk to patients as demand in healthcare facilities increase. The Service & Repair module utilizes illustrations & hands-on learning to review the practical ways to identify damaged instruments and how to assess their need for maintenance.
Reprocessing of Flexible Endoscopes
The life cycle of an endoscope begins and ends with the patient and this module is designed to ensure that the attendee has a solid fundamental understanding of the principles and practical steps to reprocessing a flexible endoscope.
Automated Endoscope Reprocessors
With the advent of automation came challenges in the following areas: understanding high level disinfectants, hookup maintenance, water pre-filtration, waterline disinfection documentation & data management. This module is designed to focus on the fundamentals of Automated Endoscope Reprocessors with a detailed look at the practical challenges that exist within endoscopy facilities that prevent efficiency and provision of patient ready endoscopes.
This course is available nationwide providing an opportunity for all of our customers to understand the value and benefits of properly caring for the equipment that is central to your healthcare facility. Hospitals and clinics interested in establishing a base-line of consistent practices will greatly benefit from these programs.
After successful completion of this course, participants will leave with their certification certificate and be fully equipped with the knowledge and the necessary skills to call themselves a Master Endoscope Reprocessing Technician.
